Michael Covert
Michael Covert has been a dedicated volunteer and champion to Bridgeway for a number of years. Michael has a passion for supporting our students and our school, recognizing that the opportunity to be educated in a unique learning environment will allow students with learning disabilities to achieve their dreams.
As a volunteer member of Bridgeway's Board of Directors, Michael has contributed to the governance of Bridgeway Academy for the last five years. As a Director, Michael brings a passion to his role which truly inspires all around him.
Michael also supports students with learning disabilities through the Mary Jane Covert Bursary, named for his younger sister who died in infancy. Each year, Michael provides full tuition to Bridgeway's specialized learning program for a female student who has been diagnosed with a learning disability.

Each year HRM, the Mayor and Regional Councillors recognize a total of 100 exceptional volunteers and groups who make outstanding contributions towards strengthening HRM communities. In April 2010, Mike was one of those recipients.
