We were thrilled to welcome local radio personality Denyse Sibley to Bridgeway on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
Denyse has been actively supporting literacy in our community for a number of years, and makes regular visits to schools in her spare time to share her love of reading with students.
Denyse read two of our favourite books during her visit - "Thank You Mr. Falker" by
Patricia Polacco and "Mad not Bad: A Child's Book About Anger" by Michaelene Mundy.
Students from grades 2-6 were invited to attend the reading, and many had questions for Denyse when she was done. Did you know Denyse Sibley has her pilot's licence? The students also discovered that she has been skydiving three times!
Denyse has four grown children and told us she read to her children every night.
